Spring Notes
More Presence,
Less Pressure
I think a lot of people are carrying pressure they were never meant to hold all the time. Pressure to constantly achieve more. Look better. Keep up. Respond faster. Be more productive. Have everything figured out immediately. Eventually it becomes difficult to even enjoy your own life because your mind never fully slows down.
Lately, Iāve been trying to replace some of that pressure with presence instead. Paying attention to the moment Iām actually in. Letting dinner with my family just be dinner. Letting a quiet morning simply be quiet instead of immediately turning every second into another task to complete.
Iām realizing that not every part of life needs to be optimized in order to be meaningful. Some moments are valuable simply because you were fully there for them. Fully listening. Fully resting. Fully living instead of constantly trying to get ahead of your own life.
Maybe peace begins when we stop treating ourselves like projects that constantly need fixing.
