Becoming More
Present at Home
I think one of the easiest ways to miss your own life is to constantly be somewhere else mentally. Thinking about tomorrow while today is still happening. Scrolling while dinner is cooking. Rushing through routines instead of fully experiencing them.
Lately, Iāve been trying to become more present inside my own home. Putting my phone down more often. Listening when my family is talking instead of multitasking through conversations. Letting simple moments feel complete without needing to document every part of them.
Home feels different when youāre emotionally present inside of it. Meals feel warmer. Conversations feel fuller. Even ordinary evenings start feeling more meaningful when you allow yourself to actually be there instead of mentally rushing ahead to the next thing.
Sometimes the most meaningful memories are created in moments that almost seemed too ordinary to notice at the time.
